Before you think it might just be my phone and only my phone that has a problem, I gotta admit to you how stupid I am.

This time it took just under two weeks for the service process only to receive my same phone marked as repaired.

I've never had the same phone for two years, so when I was able to upgrade I wanted to make sure I could handle living with the phone for two years. I love android but hate the battery life of the phones. So when I saw that this phone had up to 10 hours of battery life, I was pretty much sold. I use my phone for almost everything. From weather to reminders and timers. I've heard that it over heats, freezes, crashes and dies within hours of it off the charger. So far I have had no problems with the battery's life. It has never froze or crashed on me and it has not over heated. It does get a bit warm if you tend to use it a lot though. If you get an app killer, the battery life lasts me about 10 to 12 hours. It's fast, stylish and has room for more space if you need it. It's made for people like me who use it for everyday things and business people. Everything can sync from your computer to your phone and vise versa. It's simply amazing.

The need to purchase this Photon was prompted by my first Photon taking a plunge to the bottom of a lake. The Photon is a great phone and I'm puzzled why Motorola discontinued making it after only several month's on the market. If you are looking for a dependable 4G smartphone this is a good one. One word of caution when purchasing this phone online is that it doesn't come standard with a SIM card. I don't have the need for one at the moment as my carrier Sprint doesn't require the use of one while operating my phone in the U.S. I am not sure what other carriers require, so be aware.

The Photon is a amazing phone this phone is packing a lot of features 1 ghz Dual Core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 720p video recording, 8Mp camera, 4.3 inch qhd screen. 4G/GSM/CDMA, Kickstand. These are top of the line specs and the phone is probably one of the best on the Android market. I have had the phone since the first week it came out. I have had a few issues with text messages not coming through and having to reset my phone(not sure if this is a phone issue or a issue with Sprint). Just be prepared to charge this phone often as it is a battery killer. Using any apps or going on Facebook destroys this phone's battery. I have tried many variations of task/app killers and data savers and none seem to help too much. Functionally, the phone works great but poor service from Sprint and a lackluster battery really weigh down this phone's performance. it's still a great phone but I think I will be going with the iPhone when my contract is up.

I had no problems activating this phone on my account. Now that I have switched carriers, this phone has become a "family phone"...my brother has used it until he bought himself a new phone and now my father has it...IT IS A GREAT PHONE OVERALL!!

This phone is a wonderful phone even being somewhat a year old. The phone is as durable as can be. I drop my phone on pavement frequently as well as rough it up a bit and over a year after first purchasing it, there hasn't been a single crack on the very tough screen.
The phone features a double flash which makes for an excellent light in the dark however it quickly gets hot. For the casual smart phone user this phone is easy to understand and is quick as well as durable. The only issue I would say this phone has is that in recent updates Android 4.0 has not been available on this device and the sound bar button has fallen off, but the bare button without plastic cover is still easily clickable.
This phone is pricey at over 300 still considering the next edition of it is already out and it is over a year old.

I purchased this phone with a Sprint two year contract in August of 2011. Everything was fine until January of 2012 when the outgoing sound quit working. I did not have the Sprint Warranty Program (an additional $8.00 a month) so I had to use the Motorola warranty service. The process was easy enough. You go to the Motorola website and follw the prompts to get a RMA number and shipping instructions. I used US Postal Service Priority Mail which took 6 days to arrive at the McAllister, TX location (on the Mexican border). It took another day to get logged into the system and 6 working days before the phone was shipped by Fedex next day service to my door. Total time from start to finish was two and a half calendar weeks. My phone was not repaired but I received different phone which looked new. I later confirmed with Sprint that this phone had never been activiated before.

I am in a location with minimal 4G coverage but I travel frequently. There is one active cell near my home but I prefer Wifi there. However, when I tried to use the 4G service, it connected fine but would not access the web or pass e-mail traffic. The connection status was good and the signal strength was also good. Assuming a local anomaly, I used the phone as-is until I had to travel for business in February. Over the next few weeks, I tried the phone in Atlanta and New York, both locations advertised with 4G coverage, and still could not get data. A few trips to the forums and I discovered that other users who received replacement phones from Motorola service were also having the same problem. I contacted Sprint by phone and also visited the store. They confirmed that the phone was connected but could not explain why the 4G service did not work.
