LG Cosmos 2 is a basic slider phone that has a full QWERTY keyboard and a regular keypad and was released on July 14, 2011. The phone has a 2†240 x 320 pixels 262k colors TFT display, weighs around 4.58 oz or 130 g and has a total dimension of 4.41 x 2.06 x 0.63. The phone comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera that lets you capture quality pictures which you can save to the phones memory or on a microSD card (can take up to 32 GB) and a battery that can handle 6.16 hours of talk time and will last 34.1 days or 818 hours on stand-by. The phone has Bluetooth capabilities so you can send or receive files from/to other devices, you can connect it to your computer (laptop or desktop) via microUSB, and you can store up to 1000 phonebook entries that can have multiple numbers each contact and other basic phone features. I like the phone. It does what I need it to. The problem is the battery. The one sent with the phone would not charge. I sent for a replacement battery and it only lasted a week.

Waste of Money

I'd only had this phone for a few months when it became impossible to hold a normal conversation because with nearly every call, the other person would complain about my voice cutting out and becoming extremely muffled and faint. On top of that, the phone kept dropping calls left and right (in areas of my home and neighborhood where previous phones had no problem whatsoever). Both of these problems got worse over time. Figuring the phone was defective, I sent it in to Verizon and they gave me a replacement (same model). The new one started okay but quickly developed the same problems, which only grew worse and worse over the next few months. Conclusion: this is a crappy phone and not worth your money.

Handles the phone calls and texting I use regularly without all the added expense a Smart phone has for features I don't use. Also able to purchase without another two year committment to the phone service. I will probably say with Verizon the next several years, but who wants to be locked into a contract so you Have to.
