The phone itself is nice. It's just what I needed, a high-end, non-cam phone. I have spent some time searching for a phone like this that I can use for work. I'm happy I was able to find this at Amazon.
PROs: -The phone is really fast and responsive. -The QWERTY keypad is also big enough (even for my big fingers) and it's surprisingly soft to press. -The screen's resolution is just amazing. -The touch+type combo works perfectly well. I'd recommend it for web browsing. -I don't have any problems connecting it to my PC for file transfers and updates. -I'm in south east asia; the phone works well. International connectivity is reliable. -Lastly, IT REALLY IS A NON CAM PHONE. =)
CONs: -It does have minor cosmetics issues though. The phone had some scratches. It had a power adapter; however, it's not the usual USB cable + ac charger. So, no USB cable; no earphones too. No biggie though. For the price tag, I'm certainly fine with it. -When I first used it, I was getting a message saying [Activation Required] at the top of the home screen. I guess the phone that I got wasn't unlocked. I had to pay a technician to have it unlocked for me to fully use the phone's features.
I would still recommend this phone. I am sort of reluctant to get another one, though. Based on other customer reviews, these phones could be refurb'd ones, and not brand new. Oh well, fortunately, the phone that I got is a good find.

I bough this phone unlocked new to use overseas. The phone works perfectly for answering and receiving calls. Here in Jamaica I cannot use my browser and also unable to use the internet? is this right? the description says UNLOCKED, please inform me on what to do!

the mobile phone is excellent i spent my time for searching for mobile without camera finally i got it , the shipment is excellent within the shipment date iam so happy with my new phone with full keyboard for texting and chatting as well . many thanks

I have had a similar experience to another reviewer here: The phone is able to make calls and send sms, but data services (including Blackberry Internet Service, BIS) can NEVER work.
This is because the phones are Verizon branded and have had a previous owner. Verizon will not release the BIS or IMEI numbers for the phone unless the original owner is contacted first. Of course, this is impossible if you are buying from Amazon.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Trust me, I learned the hard way.
Note, this is for the Bold 9930 sold by BLUTEKUSA (and fulfilled by Amazon---thanks Amazon!!! \s). The phone itself is great, but you may as well get one of the new Blackberrys with the 10 operating system.
This is definitely not the deal it seems.

This is only the 2nd review I ever wrote and that's because either the buyer sold me a defective version (even though was wrapped like new) or this phone suck (doesn't turn off, ball in the middle doesn't move). I paid $250 on a device that's worthless. Blackberry used to be awesome and lately they've been getting worse and worse and more unreliable.

Strongly advise NOT TO BUY this device. This device looks good at first look. Problem starts one-by-one once you start using it right from day one. Listing couple of grave problems I faced: Battery is weak and sometimes would not last even half a day Calls drop and device restarts on its own Sometimes you will not be able to hear voice of other person.. When this happens you will have to pull your battery and restart device. Just imagine the frustration of other side screaming Hello.. hello.. After 6 months of use, device would be ON but nothing visible on screen as if its dead..although you will receive incoming calls but you wont be able to tell who is calling. Wait for 15 minutes and all will be ok.
Again re-iterating DO NOT BUY this device. Note that its not covered under any warranty.

Well the phone is awsome. But i was told that it would work under my tmobile service lie it didnt work the enternet was not working, neither was my MMS. The batterys sticker was red meaning that the phone was probably in contact with water at some point but ikept it anyways because the device was working fine with my calls and text. After few months of using it i want to say around 5 months the phone stated being very slow i mean really slow. I would reset the device constantly and it would work again but later it would slow down. The device also freezes allll the time and i have to be taking the battery on and off wich gets really annoying because i have a hard cover on it and those are very hard to take off every time the device decides to freeze. Another problem is that sometimes when i want to scroll thru my text messages history it wont let me ugh! Well enough said i DO not recommend buying this device at all.

I purchased this phone to use it on location since it's not allowed to carry a camera phone. transaction was smooth and phone cam in new condition. NOTE: don't try to activate the phone in usa, It's still registered to Verizon but overseas it works right away .. it's yes it's International UNLOCKED phone but not in within the USA
